BALDWIN CITY — Baldwin City’s 12th annual Community Wellness Festival will be Saturday, April 6, at the Collins Center at Baker. A 5-kilometer run/walk will kick off the event. The entry fee is $10 for individuals and $25 for families. Registration forms are available at the Baldwin City recreation office or the Web site www.baldwinrec.org. About 70 exhibitors are expected to participate in the free health fair, which attracts more than 300 people annually. There will be a variety of free screenings for blood pressure, posture check, body fat, bone density, as well as for hearing, vision and dental health, as well as prizes such as bicycles, free T-shirts and free bicycle helmets for children. The Lawrence Memorial Hospital will offer additional blood tests. By pre-registering by Friday, the lab tests will $10 less at $30 (or $40 with PSA test for prostate cancer). A registration form can be found at the Web site www.baker.edu/healthfair. The wellness fair is sponsored by the Baldwin City Recreation Commission and Baker University.
