OTTAWA — Ottawa University student Rachel Pierce has received the 2013 Fujiwara Scholarship. This summer, Pierce, of Ottawa, will receive room and board for a two-week stay with OU alumni Kodo and Machiko Fujiwara in Japan. To help with her travel expenses, Pierce has also been awarded $700 from the Jerry Campbell Cross-Cultural Fund. Pierce will be required to submit a written report of her experience, as well as make a chapel presentation next fall.
