LECOMPTON — The Lecompton Reenactors will present the play “Kansas Territorial Characters” Sunday afternoon at 2 at Constitution Hall State Historic Site in Lecompton. The historical re-enacting troupe will portray several notable people from the Bleeding Kansas era including Charles and Sara Robinson, James Lane, John Brown, Clarina Nichols, David Atchison, John Stringfellow, Samuel Jones, and Mahala Doyle as they passionately discuss the issue of slavery in Kansas. Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for students. Kansas Historical Foundation members and children five and younger are free. The final performance is May 5.
