LENEXA — Two Paola women were taken to Olathe Medical Center following a two-vehicle accident on I-35 in Lenexa Saturday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Candice Coffman of Ottawa was driving north on I-35 south of 95th street in Lenexa when she slowed down for traffic. The Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Marcus Maestas, Jr., of Independence, Missouri, rear-ended her vehicle. Passengers in Coffman’s vehicle, 54-year-old Cindy White and 31-year-old Selina Shirclisse, both of Paola, were injured. Coffman wasn’t injured. Maestas reported an injury but there was no record of him being hospitalized. The Highway Patrol says they were all wearing seat belts.
