OTTAWA – Even with the recent precipitation, the drought continues to be an issue for Kansas. The City of Ottawa reports that water production at the Ottawa Water Plant is down from this time last year. Last year, water production for April came in at 15,546,000 gallons, while this year water production came in at 15,281,000 gallons. There is some good news, however, as reservoir levels are up from last week. In Pomona, levels are up 0.07 hundredths of a foot, while in Melvern levels are up 0.13 hundredths of a foot.
