OSAWATOMIE — Osawatomie’s Railroad Day Festival is Saturday, and there will be a variety of family activities, and arts and crafts, mostly from 8 to 4 downtown. The Missouri Pacific Railroad Depot will offer the Railroad Day Museum Expo. At noon at the depot, Union Pacific officials will honor Osawatomie as a Train Town USA. One of the railroad’s locomotives painted in Katy Railroad colors will also visit the depot. The John Brown Museum will host special tours Saturday from 10 to 5. The tour guide will be Mary Buster, great-great-granddaughter of Florella Brown Adair, the half-sister of John Brown. The Country Oaks will perform traditional country music from 10 to noon. Uncloudy Day will perform Christian bluegrass music from 1 to 2.
