DULUTH, Minn. — A trial for a Minnesota man accused of kidnapping his ex-wife two years ago and taking her on a cross-country journey from Minnesota that ended in Mexico has been delayed until Aug. 26 in U.S. District Court in Duluth, Minn. Timothy Caskey has also been charged with robbing the Great Southern Bank in Ottawa during his journey. Caskey has a new attorney who has filed papers that he will use insanity as a defense. A federal judge granted Caskey’s motion for a psychiatric exam and agreed to delay the case. Caskey was captured and his ex-wife freed by Mexican state police.
