FRANKLIN COUNTY – It’s National Volunteer Week, which means Franklin County organizations are nominating volunteers from their groups that they feel should be honored this week. One of the volunteers who has been nominated is Wade Hepner from habitat for humanity. Hepner has been with habitat for humanity since 2001 and finds his involvement very rewarding.
“When the houses are done and the families actually get the keys and get the owners…it’s a pretty neat deal,” Hepner said. “All your work that you’ve put in during that time comes to fruition there at the end and it’s pretty neat to see that.”
