JOHNSON COUNTY — A resurfacing project on a 4-mile stretch of northbound and southbound US 69 in southern Johnson County between 179th Street and the Johnson/Miami County line has been moved back two days.  The Kansas Department of Transportation says traffic will be reduced to one lane in each way beginning this Friday, weather permitting. The starting date has been changed a couple of times because of the weather.  Traffic will be directed through the work zone via signs and cones. There will be a posted speed limit of 50 miles per hour and contractors will mill away the existing asphalt pavement, then apply a new 5-and-a-half-inch asphalt overlay and add  new pavement markings.  KDOT says work will take place Monday through Saturday, during daylight hours.  The work should be done by the end of the month, weather permitting.
