OTTAWA — May is Building Safety Month. City Planning and Codes Director Wynndee Lee says that to mark the month, the City Planning Department will host three homeowner question and answer sessions at local lumber yards. The first Q and A will be Thursday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 at Trendel Lumber. Other sessions will be May 9 at CMI and May 16 at DIY. There will also be informational videos on the public access channel and a display at City Hall. The sessions will give the public tips on the right things to do and what to avoid.
