TOPEKA – The new Kansas gun law, which shields guns from federal regulation, is coming under heavy fire. According to the Kansas City Star, US Attorney General Eric Holder is threatening legal action against the state and has written to Kansas Governor Sam Brownback about how the law is unconstitutional. Holder says it puts law enforcement officers in a legal bind by forcing them to choose between the risk of a criminal prosecution by a state and the continued performance of their duties. It is believed that Kansas is the only state to enact such a law.
