KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The north-bound lanes of I-35 between 18th Street and Southwest Boulevard will be closed at various times until this afternoon at 2. A Kansas Highway Patrol accident reconstruction team will be mapping the scene of a freak accident that killed a 26-year-old Kansas City woman Saturday night, the Kansas Department of Transportation said. Jamie Frecks was one of 17 women riding in a mini-bus on I-35 as part of a bachelorette party when she fell out of an emergency door. She was hit by three vehicles on the highway. She later died of her injuries at a hospital.
