The woman’s daughter remains missing but Richards held out little hope that she’s alive.  In an afternoon press conference, he said search teams on foot, horseback and all-terrain vehicles have searched for the little girl in locations around the crime scene in the 3100 block of Georgia Road. Richards said he requested and was approved for an extension of M-Squad help.  Officers from the Federal Bureau of Investigations, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Emporia Police Department and the Overland Park Police Department are helping with the investigation today, he said. Search teams will continue working today until at least dark, he said.  If  Lana Bailey isn’t found, teams will begin searching again Friday morning, he said.  Detectives continue to follow up leads, tips and information related to all aspects of the investigation, Richards said.  At a news conference this morning,  County Attorney Stephen Hunting said Flack, who was first taken into custody in Emporia was brought to Ottawa this morning “We have a certain amount of time to review the material and review the case” before filing charges, Hunting said.  Richards has released little information about when, how and why the murders occurred.   The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the investigation to call the Franklin County Crime Stoppers Hotline at 888-311-TIPS (8477).
