GARNETT – Some major changes could be coming to Garnett Elementary School. According to the Anderson County Review, two proposals are on the table that could ask men to be more involved with the students, and would also provide students with more foreign language education at a younger age. The dads of outstanding students program at Garnett Elementary School would hopefully be implemented next school year. The program would ask fathers and male role models of students to volunteer at the school one day out of the year. Duties of the man volunteering would include providing a good, male role model, welcoming children to school and helping with lunchtime and gym class.
