ANDERSON COUNTY — If you’ve visited the Emergency Room at Anderson County Hospital, the hospital will visit you. The Anderson County Review reports hospital staffers have started checking on Emergency Room patients after they return home. Under the the program, a nurse will call all ER patients within one week of their visit to the Emergency Room. The nurse checks by phone how the patient is progressing and ask follow-up questions to see if the patient needs any additional care. Hospital Nurse Manager Chris Rush says patients are happy to have a nurse check up on them.
