Topeka – After saying annual sessions wouldn’t take any longer than 80 days, Kansas Legislators are barreling toward overtime without a resolution. The main issue that has caused the delay is over taxes. Capitol Insight’s Alex Dingman says legislators will probably be meeting next week, while they try to manage budget shortfalls and income tax cuts. The longest legislative session ever last 107 days in 2002.
