RANTOUL — A 43-year-old Rantoul man reported to the Franklin County Sheriff’s office Tuesday that a 45-year-old Rantoul man cut a padlock on a water line to illegally get water to his residence in the 300 block of South Elm Street. The loss was estimated at $15. The man, Phillip Hoehn, was later booked into the Franklin County jail on an outstanding warrant.
