PAOLA — There will be water, wind and air at Lake Miola in Paola this weekend. The R/C Barnstormers Club will host the annual Heart of America Float Fly Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 to 3 at the northwest end of the lake. Club member Darrell Watts told the Miami County Republic that he’s expecting pilots and remote-controlled model float planes to come from as far away as Tennessee, Arkansas, Illinois and Nebraska for the float fly. The meet is open to the public and watts said visitors can expect to see replica scale models of actual planes, including a World War II-era PBY Catalina, and sport model planes.
