OTTAWA — Ottawa police say a 43-year-old Ottawa man surprised a burglar in the act in the man’s home in the 1000 block of Pebble Beach Drive Sunday morning. The burglar fled with some of the man’s property after the man confronted him. Police say they took Mark Baber, 31, Ottawa, into custody in connection with the incident later. He was booked into the Franklin County Jail on suspicion of burglary and theft.
