OTTAWA — Ottawa firefighters were called to two reported house fires this weekend. On Saturday morning, firefighters were called to the 200 block of South Elm street. Fire Chief Jeff Carner says an an overloaded extension cord was arcing. The cord was unplugged. He says there was no fire and no damage. Firefighters went to the 600 block of North Hickory early Sunday morning. Carner says firefighters found an unattended fire in a outdoor contained fire bowl. The fire was put out with no damage.
