The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department was investigating a report of a home invasion at Garnett this morning. Sheriff Vern Valentine told the Anderson County Review that someone broke into a house on East Fourth Avenue on the east edge of Garnett and attacked two men in the home. One of the men escaped and notified authorities. The other was injured and was hospitalized, but the Review’s Facebook page said the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Officers were searching for a suspect.
