HIGHLAND — The Kansas Historical Society is holding historic window preservation and weatherization workshops beginning next week in Highland. Craftsman and educator Bob Yapp will present “Window Restoration Boot Camp” June 16-18 at 106 S. Genesee St., and “Building Storm Windows” June 20-22 at St. Martha’s AME Church. Each workshop is limited to 18 participants and registration and a fee is required. To register, visit the Web site kshs.org/14644. In conjunction with the workshops, the historical society will host the “Preserving Kansas Summer Institute” June 19 at Highland Community College. That seminar is free and no registration is required.
