OTTAWA — Kansas Department of Transportation crews will conduct a field survey at the bridge over I-35 on Montana Road on the southeast edge of Ottawa June 24. KDOT is gathering information necessary for a detailed design needed to replace the bridge. Surveyors will work about 500 feet north and south of the existing bridge along Montana Road. Activities will include the use of survey instruments. If the survey crew needs to enter private property, they’ll first contact property owners or tenants for permission to enter private property. KDOT says the survey will continue about three weeks, weather permitting.
