OTTAWA–A 23 year-old Kansas City woman was booked into the Franklin County Jail late last night on suspicion of prostitution. Ottawa police arrested Jalissa Simms in the 600 block of South Oak Street in connection with a robbery report. Captain Adam Weingartner says officers received the report of a robbery occurring in the 600 block of South Oak Street. He says 21 year old Zauri Phirtskhalaishvili from the Republic of Georgia told them he had been robbed by a woman and that she and someone else drove away after taking his money. However, Weingartner says the incident involved prostitution and that the man had filed a false robbery report. He was arrested for filing a false report and patronizing a prostitute. He was turned over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office after the investigation determined he was in violation of a student visa. Weingartner says the meeting was arranged through an on-line escort service. He says he doesn’t expect more arrests.
