OTTAWA — The cause of last night’s power outage that blacked out much of southern Ottawa for about an hour still remains a puzzle. City utility director Jim Bradley said his crews have checked the grid but haven’t been able to pinpoint the problem. When the outage occurred, crews twice tried to turn the circuit serving the area back on but the breakers tripped. They were successful on the third try, he said.
