OTTAWA – There are two, count ‘em two, blood drives going on this afternoon in Ottawa. The Franklin County Red Cross blood drive is this afternoon until 6 at Celebration Hall. The Ottawa First United Methodist Church will host a Community Blood Center blood drive from 2:30 to 6:30. There are spots available for those donors who don’t have an appointment. Bring a photo ID. Blood donations tend to decline during the summer, when many regular donors are on vacation and schools are out of session, the Red Cross said. Volunteers are also needed after the Red Cross blood drive to help load the Red Cross truck.
