EDGERTON — Leawood-based home decor importer Demdaco has announced plans to build an $18-million distribution center at the new Burlington Northern Santa Fe Intermodal Center between Edgerton and Gardner. The Lawrence Journal-World reports that Demdaco is the third tenant at the center, called Logistics Park Kansas City. The DeLong Company plans to have an $8 million grain-distribution facility built by August 1. The Intermodal Center developer, Northpoint Development, is also building a 500,000-square-foot distribution center with 7 million square feet of vertical warehouse space. The Intermodal Center is scheduled to be open this fall.
