OTTAWA — A chase that started in Olathe and went through Ottawa and ended in Miami County Tuesday afternoon. The chase resulted from a purse-snatching in Johnson County, Franklin County Sheriff Jeff Richards said. Officers pursued a suspect who got away. However, a deputy spotted what looked like the vehicle exiting I-35 at K-68 and tried to pull over the vehicle, he said. The driver pulled over, then took off east along K-68, he said. The chase went into Miami County, where the driver pulled over and surrendered without incident. There were no injuries, he said. Johnson County officers took the man into custody, he said. Richards said he didn’t have the name of the man but said that he’s now free on Johnson County bond.
