OTTAWA — A 36-year old Rantoul man reported to the Franklin County Sheriff’s office that someone stole two new garage doors from his property in the 4500 block of John Brown Drive sometime before Monday evening. The two doors were valued at approximately $1,500. He also reported the thieves tried to attempted to steal his John Deere lawnmower, damaging it. The damage to the lawnmower and the mower deck was $2<900. It was one of a batch of theft reports to the sheriff’s office. A Centropolis couple reported that some items were missing from their home in the 200 block of North 7th Street in Centropolis Saturday. The loss was estimated at about $3,500. A 36-year old Pomona man reported someone entered his house in the 200 block of South Madison and stole several electronic items Friday. The loss was estimated at $4,800.
