OTTAWA — A Johnson County woman has pleaded guilty in Franklin County District Court to insurance fraud as part of a plea deal. A second charge of felony theft was dropped against Sharon Bachman as part of the plea deal. Charges of theft and insurance fraud were dropped against her husband Ronald Bachman. They were accused of defrauding an insurance company of about $160,000 in early 2009 in connection with a house under construction. Her sentencing will be Aug. 26.
