MANHATTAN – The Kansas State University bug research facility is being bugged by termites. WIBW Channel 13 of Topeka reports that swarms of termites have infested Waters Hall, which houses the entomology department. K-State is trying to fight the termites without killing the other bugs being used for study and research. Most common anti-termite pesticides have been ruled out. A Manhattan pest control company plans to use a more environmentally-friendly solution of a ring of underground termite bait stations around Waters Hall.
