LYNDON — A resurfacing project on an 8-mile stretch of US-75 south of Lyndon between the Maris des Cygnes River bridge to the south Osage County line has been postponed two weeks because of the weather.  The starting date has been pushed back to Monday, August 19.  The project includes milling away of more of three inches of existing pavement followed by new layer of asphalt and all new pavement markings.   The Kansas Department of Transportation says the resurfacing project will smooth the road and fill surface defects.   Work will take place during daylight hours, Monday through Friday, with some occasional Saturday work.  North-bound and south-bound US-75 will be reduced to one lane at several mile segments.  Traffic will be directed through the project work zone via flaggers, concrete barriers, channelizers and signage.   The project should be completed in early November.
