OSAWATOMIE — The body of Harley Hake, 19, Osawatomie; was recovered from the Marais des Cygnes River at Osawatomie shortly after 6 p.m. Monday, the Osawatomie Police Department said. After Hake fell into the river Sunday night, he tried to swim from the south side of the river to the north side upstream from a low-water dam near the Eighth Street bridge. Bystanders tried to pull Hake from the river, but he was pulled into the rolling water below the low-water dam.
