FRANKLIN COUNTY — Beginning Thursday, Ottawa and Franklin County Officers will crack down on drunk drivers and other traffic violations through Labor Day, September 2. Ottawa Captain Adam Weingartner says the Labor Day special traffic enforcement program involves nearly 150 other Kansas law enforcement agencies. Local drivers can expect to see more officers and deputies on the roadways enforcing traffic laws and looking for impaired drivers, he said.
