OTTAWA –The Ottawa Volunteer Center says people are needed to help with the Franklin County Red Cross Blood Drive Wednesday from noon to 6 at Celebration Hall. Volunteers are also needed for the Kansas Volunteer Commission Booth at the Kansas State Fair booth, which is September 6 -15 in Hutchinson. Volunteers will distribute giveaways and conduct activities for fairgoers. Volunteers will also receive meal tickets for each four-hour shift, be reimbursed for mileage expenses, and a hotel room for those who do shifts on consecutive nights.
