TOPEKA – The Kansas Insurance Commissioner is making the annual funds to state and local firefighter relief organizations. The local association funds are used for purchasing accident and health, disability, and life insurance premiums to assist firefighters and their families. Franklin County will receive just over $70,000, Anderson County will receive just over $57,000, while Miami County will receive more than $125,000. More than $11.6 million is being distributed among 577 local firefighters relief associations across the state.
