OTTAWA – Kansas Senator Jerry Moran is disappointed amid reports that the Internal Revenue Service is auditing veterans groups such as the American Legion and the V-F-W. Moran says the IRS reportedly requiring post members to produce personal private military service forms, if the groups fail to comply, they could face a reported fine of $1,000 per day. In an interview with KOFO News, Moran said he questions if this is the best use of the resources of the IRS, and has placed a call to the acting director.
