QUENEMO — Eight minutes into a City Council meeting this month, Quenemo Mayor Bruce Rose responded to a disagreement by resigning and walking out of the Council meeting. The Osage County Herald-Chronicle reports Rose scribbled his resignation on the back of the resignation letter from Council member Chris Boggs, who served just four months. That follows the earlier resignations of City Council President Jessica Rose and Council member Robert Canon. Former Council member Ray Bennett, whose didn’t run for re-election, and Ron Parker were appointed to the Council. Council member Adam Anderson was elected Council President and by default, serves as Mayor of Quenemo.
