OTTAWA — The former superintendent of the Ottawa school district has a new job. Dean Katt has been selected to be the interim superintendent of the Hays school district. The appointment is for one year. He abruptly resigned the Ottawa position earlier this year. Katt said he has no plans at this time to seek the Hays position permanently, and plans to keep his Ottawa residence for the time being.
