MANHATTAN — An Anderson County High School graduate and former Garnett resident, has been elected as the president of the Kansas Young Democrats. Andrew Rickel, Manhattan, succeeds Ben Cohn, who was elected second vice-president for Young Democrats of America. Rickel attended Kansas State University. Rickel said one of his top priorities is strengthening public schools and university education, which will create opportunities and economic growth.
