EDGERTON – The investigation continues into a shooting last night on I-35 near Edgerton Road in northeast Miami County. Authorities say the driver of a dodge minivan was southbound on I-35 at around 8:15 when the bullet was fired from an unknown location. Investigators are unsure if the shot was fired intentionally or accidentally. The driver of the van was transported to a Kansas City hospital with undisclosed injuries, while an adult passenger and three children in the van were uninjured. A nine mile stretch of I-35 was shutdown while authorities searched for the suspect, but so far, the suspect remains at large.
