SPRING HILL — A 26-year-old Missouri man was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center Friday evening after he ran into a hay baler being pulled by tractor along U.S. 169. Cody Sloan, Cameron, Mo., was going north on U.S. 169 at about 267th Street about six miles south of Spring Hill, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Jacob Culbertson, 28, Osawatomie; was also going north along the right shoulder of the highway, pulling the baler behind his tractor. Sloan’s truck hit the baler, went out of control and overturned, landing in the ditch on the east side of the roadway. The highway patrol said Sloan wasn’t wearing a seat belt. Culbertson wasn’t injured.
