GARDNER — The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department has identified a 61-year-old Olathe man as the victim of a car fire in southwestern Johnson County near Gardner early sunday morning. There was no foul play involved in the death of Jerome Stonebraker, Master Deputy Tom Erickson said. Deputies and firefighters with Johnson County Fire District #1 were responding to a report of a grass fire when they discovered the burning car.
