GARNETT — A driver tried to avoid a speeding ticket but couldn’t avoid a wreck nor arrest.  The Anderson County Review reports that when an Anderson County Deputy tried to pull over a vehicle for speeding Saturday the vehicle kept going along 2000 Road.  However, the vehicle chase didn’t last long because the driver of the vehicle lost control as he tried to turn onto a gravel road northeast of Garnett and rolled over.  The paper says that started a foot chase as two adults fled into a heavily wooded area surrounded by soybean fields.  A 15-year-old was found in the vehicle with minor injuries.  Sheriff Vern Valentine tells the paper after several hours, a 19-year-old Garnett man was found walking along a gravel road in the area and arrested.  Valentine says that on Sunday morning, a 20-year-old man turned himself and wrote a confession.
