OTTAWA — The Ottawa City Commission punted on making a response to the county’s latest offer concerning the 911 emergency dispatch center. Ottawa Mayor Sara Caylor requested the delay because Commissioner Blake Jorgensen couldn’t make Monday’s meeting and because the county hasn’t given details on some of the costs of the 911 center. The meeting will likely be rescheduled for Aug. 30. The city and county split the personnel costs of the emergency dispatch center 50-50 but the city says that’s unfair to city taxpayers. However, county commissioners have refused to consider changing the split.
