OTTAWA — A Lyndon juvenile briefly escaped from the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center Saturday night. The youth bolted from a car while he was being transferred into the center, Sheriff Jeff Richards said. Ottawa police and deputies combed the area and rounded up the juvenile quickly, he said. The youth was booked into the juvenile detention center, complete with some new offenses added to his original ones.
