OTTAWA — Prairie Paws Animal Shelter will cut the number of days it is open to the public to Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday: Jaron Asher is the director of the Shelter and he says no one will be able to adopt a pet or bring in an animal on those days. He says the shelter, which is always nearly full, is running in the red by $14,000 each month. He says efforts to increase donations and other sources of revenue for the shelter are in the works.
