KANSAS — The Salvation Army has sent an Emergency Disaster Services Team from Kansas to Colorado to help with relief efforts after days of deadly flash flooding. The Kansas Team will operate a mobile canteen that will provide food and water to flood survivors and first responders. It will join eight other Salvation Army mobile canteens in Colorado. The Salvation Army says the Kansas Team will be in Colorado for one to two weeks. The flooding has impacted parts of 17 counties in Colorado, killing at least eight people, damaging or destroying thousands of homes. Rescuers are still trying to locate several missing people.
