GARNETT – Construction could begin as early as next week at the site of the new Anderson County Hospital. Equipment has been arriving throughout this week and crews hope to complete dirt, concrete, and framing work before the winter months so there will not be significant weather delays. The Anderson County Review reports that the project was delayed for two weeks because of fiber optic cables located in the employee parking lot. Construction is expected to take about 13 to 16 months and once the new hospital is open, the old hospital will be demolished and a parking lot will take its place.
