GARNETT — A benefit to raise money for the medical expenses for a Garnett bartender will be Oct. 19 at the Garnett Knights of Columbus. Peggy Benjamin, a long-time bartender at the Trade Winds Bar & Grill at Garnett, was recently diagnosed with cancer. The Anderson County Review reported the night will include music by Honkytonk Legend, followed by dinner and an auction and dance with music by the Tone Benders. The event is BYOB. Set-ups and designated drivers will be provided.
